the essay about love
Love Makes Your Life Nicer

When you are in love with someone you feel life become nicer to you. Love means every thing to me, and I can’t live without it. Love protects you from foolish decisions and helps you during difficult situations. Love enables us to help each other. Love doesn’t know racism so makes you to help other people without knowing their nationality. Love teaches you how to behave with; friends, people, and to be honest with them.
It is love stop you from making foolish decisions. For example, in 1991, we ran to Iran’s border afraid of Saddam’s soldiers because they came to destroy Kurdistan. I ran to the border with my mother, two sisters, and one brother. My father didn’t come with us because he was Peashmarga, and he was fighting at the mountain. We had to walk 400km to the border because we didn’t have a car. I was four years old, my oldest sister was three years old, my youngest sister was two years old, and my youngest brother was four months. My oldest sister and I could walk, but my youngest sister couldn’t walk enough because she was very little. During our trip we were very tired, and my youngest sister (Dalya) couldn’t walk. We stopped because of her. My mother couldn’t carry her because she was carrying my brother, some food, and blankets. My mother said, “What should we do now?” People were running when we stopped. Some people around us said to my mother, “leave her, if you don’t Iraqi soldiers will kill you and all your children, and you don’t have a choice a lot of people left their children.” My mother cried, kissed, and hugged Dalya. She put her on a stone, so people would see her and pick her up for themselves because she thought it’s better than her death. She gave her so food and a blanket to live longer. She began to pray for her,” God please save my daughter and forgive me you know I don’t have a choice please, please God.” Dalya was so quiet, and she didn’t know what was going on. We began walking, but with every step my mother turned to look at her. We walked about 200 miles, and my mother couldn’t continue walking without her. Suddenly she stopped, and ran to pick up Dalya and hugged her. She said,” my daughter how can I go without you and leave you her. I never forgive myself if I do.” She picked her up, and we continued walking to the border. What is the role love played in this situation? Love made my mother come back to Dalya. Love saved Dalya’s life also my mother life because if she left Dalya there. She would never forgive herself, and she cries forever.
Why did we help people in the Qalawa Refugee camp? We helped them because they are humans just like us, and they needed help. Our love for humanity didn’t let us to think about whom they are, are they Arabs? Our love for their children made us to go to every class to collect money for them. We told students in classes about how children are living without foods and shoes in the camp. We told them please help us to make change in the camp. The love made my teachers wear gloves and clean the camp for them.
Sometimes your love makes you to do something you don’t like the results, but your love pushes you to do it. For example, last year, when I was a student at Sulamani
University one of my friends didn’t study so I told him, “You’ll fail if you don’t study, and I won’t be your friend anymore if you don’t study.” He didn’t speak with me anymore because what I told him. At first I knew it is gone to happen, but I loved him because I told him even the result wasn’t good.
Life without love equals nothing. If we love each other we can do a lot of things like helping each other in emergency situations. Why did God create love between humans? He knew it’s necessary for them to live with each other. How can we live with each other if there isn’t any love between us? Also, what is making your country develop? Of course your love makes you work hard and protect it from enemies. If someone asks me when life will end? I will tell him, the life will end when people stop loving each other. Therefore, there is no life without it.

“We would be happy to have AUI-S students apply to the University of Oregon.”
Robert Hardin “I suggest that AUI-S students study hard and work towards their dreams and their goals.”
Kurdistan, March 25, 2009 - Professor Robert Hardin is the Director of Admissions at University of Oregon. Two months ago, 22 universities’ representatives from the USA and the UK participated in AUI-S’s conference, and they visited AUI-S’s building to see students. Also, Mr. Hardin represented his university at the AUI-S conference.

What is the relationship between AUI-S and the University of Oregon? Currently, there is no relationship between AUI-S and University of Oregon. Who knows, this may change in the future. We would be happy to have AUI-S’s students apply to the University of Oregon.

What is your purpose of visiting AUI-S?
My purpose of visiting AUI-S was to help students learn more about the University of Oregon.

What did you learn from your trip to Iraq, especially to Kurdistan?
I learned that there is part of Iraq that is very safe, also I learned that students in Iraq are motivated and interested in education.
Professor Robert Hardin
I heard the Iraqi government will send 10,000 students on scholarships to study in USA. Is there any connection between your admission and Iraqi government about that?
There is no direct connection between the Iraqi scholarships and the University of Oregon. However, we hope some of the Iraqi scholarship students come to the University of Oregon.

Do you think AUI-S will be famous or successful? I don’t know enough about AUI-S to know if it will be successful or famous. It seems successful and I hope that the school is successful.

How does your university accept students on scholarships? We look for a minimum of 80%. So if you keep getting that grade, or get better grades we would be happy to accept you at the University of Oregon. We also have a minimum TOEFL requirement of 500 PBT and 61 IBT.

At the end of the interview he suggests that AUI-S’ students study hard and work towards their dreams and their goals.
